Mayor of Kragujevac, Mr. Radomir Nikolic with his associates organized traditional reception at the City Hall for the guests and invitees who arrived to Kragujevac this year to pay the tribute to the executed victims of October 21, 1941.

On that day 2.794 boys and men were executed. The ratio of 100 executions for one soldier killed. Fear, lethal wounds, suffering and tears of the children, mothers outcry, devastated City. The saddest page in the history of Kragujevac”, said in his address the Mayor Nikolic.

The coincidence or not but Kragujevac is liberated three years later on October 21, 1944 but that date remind unmarked because of the retaliation of Sumarice. May it never repeat ever anywhere. We are to remember and build the bridges, struggle for peace and life, noticed the Mayor Nikolic.
