The President of the City Assembly Mr. Miroslav Petrasinovic organized a reception for the participants and awarded students of the International Painting Competition devoted to the topic “I like Sankt Petersburg”, their professors and primary school principles.
Delegation of the City of Kragujevac this year, too participated in the International Congress “Sankt Petersburg and Slovenian World”. Seventh congress organized in a row gathered a large number of the representatives of the Slovenian countries around the topic of education and dual education, and we talked and exchanged the experiences on the conference. Our Delegation had a particular reason to be proud of the awards of our primary school pupils. First award went to the fifth grade Primary school “Milutin i Draginja Todorovic” pupil Milica Mihic and other pupils works very assessed as excellent , said President Petrasinovic on the occasion of diploma and awards handing over.
It is the call for proposals announced every year by Sankt Petersburg to which the number of countries participants of the Congress respond and in accordance to Mr. Petrasinovic, pupils works of Kragujevac Primary Schools were notified and very well assessed by both the host and representatives of the participants countries.
I hope that the cooperation between Kragujevac and Sankt Petersburg will continue and that we would implement the similar projects with an opportunity of students exchange and possibility to send our pupils to one of the world most beautiful cities, said Mr. President of the City Assembly.
The reception was attended by one of the winners of the last year competition, the pupil of the Primary School “19. Oktobar” Andjela Djurdjevic and her teacher Slavica Djordjevic who with the help of the City went to the awarding trip to Sankt Petersburg. The President of the Primary School Principles Council Snezana Rajevac congratulated this year winner extending her thankfulness for the enthusiasm and devotion to the work with pupils whose quality is supported by the awards year after year along with the achieved results at different competition and calls for proposals.
Painting competition gathered the pupils age 8 – 16 with an aim of the competition to promote the cultural – historical heritage of Sankt Petersburg, one of the world most beautiful cities with affirmation of the plastic art expression of the young.
