Today the twin City of Ingolstadt donated gynecological examination chair to the Women’s Clinic, Health Centre of Kragujevac within the enhancement of healthcare cooperation between Cities of Kragujevac and Ingolstadt. The Delegation of the City of Ingolstadt Gabriel Engert Culture and Education Consultant and Christian Lange City Council representative with Doctor Gordana Damnjanovic, Kragujevac City Council Member in charge of Health and Social Welfare Policy and associates visited this health institution.
Long-term partnership and friendly relations of twin cities Ingolstadt and Kragujevac resulted in last year’s establishing the healthcare cooperation. Care and efforts for improving women health both here and in Germany, prevention and early cancer diagnostic is primary reason for the assistance of our twin City, said Dr Damnjanovic and reminded of schools of medicine cooperation establishment, stressing that the cooperation in the field of health will be continued both in the light of profession and education.
Cooperation of two twin cities dates back from 2001 and so far it has been established in the sphere of culture, education, sustainable development; the donation provides for establishing the cooperation in the sphere of health, too. We have already implemented some smaller health care projects together, and today we discussed the donation of some medical devices that could be used here, said Gabriel Engert, representative of the City of Ingolstadt.
In the course of visit representatives of Ingolstadt met with the director of the Health Centre Vasilije Antic and Dr Ivica Magdic, head of the Department for the Women’s Health Protection and they agreed that the donations from Germany can be very beneficial for our health system, in this case for female patients.
Donation provides for the multiple benefits regarding future modern and convenient medical check-up both for female patients and doctors. We expect that the health care cooperation continue; exchange of knowledge and experience with doctors from developed countries like Germany that could be applied in national health system and which could improve health protection of our citizens is especially significant, said the director of the Health Centre Dr Antic.
